Zodiac means “Circle of Animals” — and the Greek myths associated with both the first and last signs of the Zodiac tell stories of animals rescuing humans and gods. A deep ecological perspective asks us to approach the many creatures in the sky of our birth and their many relationships with wonder, rather than agenda. How can we empathize with each on their own terms and honoring their instincts, creating sensuous, full-bodied, enlivening encounters within ourselves, our relations, and our world? We consider perspectives drawn from mythology of Aries, Pisces, and Jupiter; from rewilding actions taken in natural ecosystems; and individual life stories and horoscopes.
