Planets in the 8th house are most familiar with descent – for this is where they fall fastest towards the horizon. These planets seem to carry a notion of ‘fallen-ness’ narrated by modern terms such as shame, blame, invalidation, perpetration, double binds. We will draw from ancient myths that describe both limitations and vast possibilities of falling, as well as stories of individuals in psychotherapy who are re-dreaming and re-imagining experiences of being – or being seen as – ‘fallen’.
